Purpose of Product: This product provides an advanced pedestrian protection system for buses and other vehicles to alert the driver of the presence of a human body in specified danger zones under and around the vehicle.

  • Unaffected by rocking motion of vehicle
  • Remains active after door closure: Capable of final rescan after door closure for danger zone protection. Length of time remaining active is user definable in software.
• Operating: Optional Security Mode (vehicle empty)
  • Able to detect a human or animal body of in specified danger zones for up to 72 hours on a typical battery charge. Auto Shutdown on low battery.
  • Unaffected by water, mud, ice or road debris, operable in all road conditions.
  • Unaffected by moving or stationary objects not of body water composition. (i.e. blowing objects, vegetation, leaves etc.)
• Construction and installation
  • All sensitivity and range adjustments made from visual display module in vehicle interior by bus installation mechanic without special tools or instruments.
  • All components and modules are Hi-impact ABS.
  • Installable without chassis modification or additional vehicle penetration by drilling.
  • Mounting hardware supplied.
  • Modular components, completely field serviceable by bus mechanic.
  • Installation in one hour max (3 zone protection) by experienced personnel.
  • Installed system does not inhibit lift or maintenance operations.

• Protected zone information:
  • Front: 110 degrees from center of front axle up to 10 feet distant. Adjustable on installation.
  • Side (Right and Left): 110 degrees from C Channel frame to protect from the front of the rear wheel to a point 10 feet forward and up to 8 feet distant from side panel. Adjustable on installation.
  • Rear (Standard): 110 degrees from center of rear axle to protect from sensor to 3 feet distant beyond rear bumper. Adjustable on installation.
  • Rear (Optional): 110 degrees from center of rear bumper to protect from sensor forward to rear of both rear wheels. Adjustable on installation.
